TravelPhotos allows you to easily find pictures of landmarks, streets, cities or countries.
TravelPhotos is an unofficial iPhone client for Google Panoramio.
How to use TravelPhotos:
Enter a landmark, street name, city or country or use your current location through GPS on the iPhone or location approximation on the iPod touch.
Specify the search distance and file sort order. Hit Go.
TravelPhotos will find and show you pictures from that location in a table view. Scroll the tableview to quickly find the photo you are interested in.
Click on the table cell and see the picture in portrait or landscape mode.
Flicker through the pictures forwards or backwards by swiping the touchscreen.
Hit the locate button to see the location where the picture was taken from in Google Maps.
And the wow effect you ask me: well while you look at an image the next image is already being downloaded in the background. This means you can flick through lots of pictures smoothly 🙂
Can anyone please post a high definition movie of how the application works on YouTube? It’s to illustrate how smooth the flicking through pictures is!
This is the free lite version as a teaser to the full version. It is limited that you can only see 30 pictures in the tableview at a time. New functionality will be added to the TravelPhotos Pro version which will be available soon on the App Store.
